Neutral colors are the easiest thing in the world to style. You can pair almost any color, print, or pattern with white, grey, and black. I don’t always have an outfit in mind when I wake up in the morning (like most people I think). So, on the days that I don’t have inspiration I look at my go-to colors: grey, white and black. On this particular morning I decided to try out my new jacket and chose the rest of my outfit around it.
I just want to take a moment and admire these sunglasses I found at TJ Maxx. Nude sunglasses with silver lenses, don’t have to tell me twice, I’m getting them.
I know what you’re thinking. What in the hell am I doing wearing a jacket in the summer, in Florida? Well it’s like this, I have class in the mornings and if you’re a student like me then you know how cold the rooms can be. I am the type of person who is always cold so I needed this jacket to keep from getting hypothermia. Okay, so I’m not going to get hypothermia, but I’d still be really cold. This jacket is lightweight and flowy enough that it doesn’t turn into a sauna when I am outside. Plus, it’s super cute, I just got it, and its a light grey, which makes it easy to style.
I was definitely going for a more casual look when I picked everything out. I added in this nice and loose, plain, white tank top because, duh everything looks good in white. No, but really I thought the simple tank would look great with my jacket and again it’s a neutral color too.
Some nice blue skinny jeans finish off the casual vibe I’m going for. I really love the color and fit of these (they’re brand new too), they’re just super comfortable and I love it. The only thing is, as with most of my jeans, they’re too long even in the length short. Petite girls you know my struggle. I just rolled them up a couple times so that my shoes could still shine through.
I may have centered my outfit around my jacket, but the shoes just gave that something extra. They’re recently new too lol, and I really wanted to wear them so I made it happen. The light grey color of my heels made it easy to make sure that it matched my outfit. I will tell you this though, they killed my feet by the end of the day. But hey, beauty is pain, or that’s what they say at least.
