Boho School Teacher Chic

“You look like a school teacher,” this is the comment I get from my sister so I call this my boho school teacher look. I have always been in love with maxi dresses or maxi skirts that have a boho vibe. I remember in high school I wore this big tired ruffled maxi skirt more than a couple times. In my mind it’s a classic style and can be a go to when you’ve got no idea what to wear.

This dress is VERY flowy, and I love it. I really adore the a maxi dress has extra fabric on the skirt to give it a more whimsical look.  Is that a good description? Like when you twirl in it, it just looks so good because of that extra material. Hopefully that makes sense because I don’t know how to describe it better. Another plus side to this dress is that the fabric is thin and light, meaning I can wear the long sleeves even in the heat. And that’s another thing I really like, the sleeves, they go past my elbow and cinch together. Then the end of the sleeve flips out and adds a girly touch in my opinion.

The print on this dress is what really sold me. I love how the roses look on the blue background and how it all ties together to set a soft kind of tone. Bright colors and bold prints are not me and are harder to style. This dress is the opposite of bright and it just WORKS. The high waist of the skirt just takes me back to old school style, I’m thinking Pride and Prejudice here. And the slip dress underneath really just makes me feel better. It’s not long like the dress, but not short and makes me feel more free when I move around.

And who doesn’t love this bow in the front? It’s like a built in choker!

Completing the look with some Faux suede booties!

Hahaha, you don’t look like a schoolteacher at all–you look Pinterest-ready! It’s okay, my husband likes to call one skirt that I have “the tablecloth.” Some people just don’t understand style 😉 You look awesome–especially with those boots!

That is SUCH a gorgeous dress! I love big, flowy, boho dresses and I think they are the perfect way to look put together without much effort.
