How I keep my hair fresh and voluminous!
I have had a pretty good routine and had trained my hair to stay fresh and non greasy. Then I started working out harder and sweating more everyday, my old routine wasn’t working. I went back to washing my hair almost everyday the pas couple of months. Until I figured out a new routine that REALLY gives me fresh hair for days.
When I say sweat everyday I mean I do some type of HIIT everyday, the sweat is just rolling off my face and head. I can feel the beads working their way down my scalp. On the one hand I love it because I know I’m getting in a good workout. On the other hand, it meant I would most likely have to wash my hair again if I wasn’t willing to put it up. The routine I had going before wasn’t making my hair look and feel oil free and non greasy.
In the past two weeks I’ve figured out a new way to keep my hair fresh and it’s game changing! I’ve got thick, super straight hair and a ton of it and usually dry shampoos and such didn’t work for me. But I’m here to tell you how I get mine to work for me.
So I get home from the gym and get into the shower. While I’m showering I have my hair in a bun and what I’ll do is take some water in my hand and wet the edges around my hair. I basically soak those pieces! And in the back of my scalp I’ll rub in water up towards the center, this is where I really sweat I’ve noticed.
Once I’m done in the shower I take my bun down and blow dry the pieces I wet. I feel like this is what really keeps my hair fresh! Once I’ve blow dried those pieces I take my Ouai Super Dry Shampoo and spray my roots for good measure. Then I brush through my hair and it looks like I’ve just washed it! I’m so amazed by this and very happy lol.
